An Update from Genesis Orthopedics – Now Offering Telemedicine

During these trying times of Covid-19, we want to assure our patients that Genesis Orthopedics will continue to provide you with the highest quality orthopedic care while ensuring we take steps to practice the safest and wisest course of action. That includes practicing the principles of social distancing and preventative measures to curtail the transmission of Covid-19.

Our goal over the next few weeks is to limit individual contact to only those clinical situations that require it (urgent situations, and rare diagnostic situations) until we can resume normal operations. As the broader context surrounding Covid-19 evolves we will continue updating you and evaluating our practices to balance the highest care with the highest safety for all.

That’s why we’ve decided to move all patient visits to our telemedicine platform for the time being. Please see below for more information in that regard.

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns regarding your orthopedic care

Telehealth and Urgent Care Appointments

Until April 15, 2020, existing scheduled patients at Genesis will be transitioned to our telehealth platform (live video interaction with the provider on one’s smartphone or computer). Please anticipate a call from your provider or contact them at 630-377-1188 to request either a telehealth appointment or to schedule a new face-to-face appointment for after April 5, 2020.

New prospective patients who would like to schedule an appointment should call 630-377-1188 or request here. If they wish to be evaluated prior to April 15, 2020, they will be scheduled for a telehealth appointment. If at the time of the telehealth evaluation the clinical team determines that there is an urgent issue, patients may be scheduled to undergo any necessary testing or treatment (XR, MRI, Bracing, Slings, Therapy, Injections or Surgery) and when necessary, be seen by their provider at one of our existing offices that are participating in urgent care.

Patients willing to wait for their appointment will have the option to schedule for either a telehealth or face-to-face appointment to occur after April 15, 2020.
