Dr. Strotman is a board-certified, and fellowship-trained, total joint specialist who was educated at Brown University, Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, and the University of Virginia. He’s a well-known surgeon in the Chicagoland area and is passionate about Genesis’ mission of access to care for all. His clinical interests and expertise include complex primary and revision hip and knee replacement. Dr. Strotman is facile with all approaches to the hip, and emphasizes the anterior approach in his practice. He is one of the area’s leaders in minimally invasive, muscle sparing techniques. Additionally, he is at the forefront of providing care to numerous patients who have sustained varying types of hip fractures. Along with his clinical interests, he is actively involved with research encompassing all aspects of hip and knee replacement, has published numerous peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and has been invited to speak nationally on topics related to joint replacement and trauma.

Dr. Strotman utilizes the New Orthalign Lantern technology for his total knee replacements. The Lantern device works with his minimally invasive approach to aids him in determining the exact resection angles each patient needs based on their specific anatomy. This combination helps deliver ideal outcomes and long term survivorship for his patients.
