Dr. Matthew Diamond is a foot and ankle specialist committed to providing compassionate, individualized patient care utilizing the most advanced evidence-based treatments. He strives to educate his patients on their diagnosis so that they can make informed decisions regarding their care. When surgery is necessary, Dr. Diamond is highly trained in the latest state-of-the-art surgical treatments for sports-related injuries, foot and ankle deformity correction/reconstruction, fractures, and arthritic conditions, including the use of arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques to minimize recovery time and get patients back on their feet faster.
Dr. Diamond is a committed researcher and public health advocate who continuously strives to improve patient outcomes and access to high-quality, affordable healthcare. He has published award-winning research and lectured both nationally and internationally on a variety of topics. Dr. Diamond is also a leader within the field of podiatric public health and is passionate about reducing the rates of diabetic-related foot and ankle complications and limb loss. He has served on leadership committees within organizations such as the American Public Health Association, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Diamond was born and raised in Massachusetts. He graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh with bachelor’s degrees in neuroscience and history. He then earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University and completed his foot and ankle surgical residency at West Penn Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA.
In his free time, Dr. Diamond loves cooking and traveling with his wife, Cassie. He is a strong supporter of community volunteer organizations and youth mentoring programs.
