Diagnosis and Treatment

Genesis Orthopedics is a leader in diagnosing and treating work-related injuries. Our board-certified physicians understand the Illinois Worker’s Compensation system and our treatment plans focus on the injured employee to obtain maximum medical improvement (MMI) as quickly as possible. Our program features:

• Dedicated Work Comp Intake Team for fast and convenient scheduling
• Work Status Reports completed the same day as the exam
• Exam notes and reports generated within 24-48 hours after the exam
• Dedicated Work Comp Coordinator to communicate with employers, adjusters, and case managers
• Coordination of Industrial Rehabilitation Program

In order to provide consistent and efficient communication to our clients, Genesis will encourage each existing WC appointment the opportunity to schedule as a telehealth appointment.

Liberal use of telehealth will allow our physicians to continue to provide important evaluation (including basic video-based physical examination), treatment and prescriptions including:

• Medications
• Physical therapy
• Occupational therapy
• Durable medical equipment (DME)
• MRI, CT, XR,
• Work Status, MMI status, and considerations for permanency.

Newly injured patients will also be scheduled for telehealth evaluation to determine their immediate needs and provide necessary documentation and treatment. If need be, these patients can be seen in our clinic in a timely fashion.
