Manej\u00f3 su dolor con inyecciones de cortisona, pero eventualmente se volvieron ineficaces. Cuando las actividades diarias b\u00e1sicas se volvieron imposibles, Murray decidi\u00f3 que era hora de abordar el problema por completo. \u201cSimplemente no pod\u00eda soportar m\u00e1s el dolor. No pod\u00eda dormir por la noche y no pod\u00eda hacer cosas b\u00e1sicas como atarme los zapatos &quot;.<\/p>\n<p>Murray tuvo un reemplazo completo de cadera como paciente externo el 9 de julio y lo estaba dando todo al d\u00eda siguiente en fisioterapia. &quot;Al principio, la terapia fue muy dolorosa, pero ya estaba acostumbrado a lidiar con el dolor y realmente no dol\u00eda m\u00e1s&quot;. \u00a1Estaba tan entusiasmado con su recuperaci\u00f3n que su equipo de tratamiento le pidi\u00f3 que bajara la velocidad! La determinaci\u00f3n de Murray es una inspiraci\u00f3n. \u00c9l dice: &quot;Mi recuperaci\u00f3n depende de m\u00ed, el resultado depende de cu\u00e1nto trabajo y lo que haga va a determinar c\u00f3mo me siento&quot;. Comenz\u00f3 en la bicicleta est\u00e1tica y pronto caminaba cuatro cuadras. Est\u00e1 adelantado en su rehabilitaci\u00f3n y espera con ansias el d\u00eda en que pueda volver al trabajo sin dolor. &quot;En \u00faltima instancia, volver al trabajo es mi objetivo, pero lo que realmente quiero es poder volver a nadar&quot;.<\/p>\n<p>Murray tiene un nuevo aprecio por la vida despu\u00e9s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/genesisortho.com\/es\/patient-education\/hip-overview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cirug\u00eda de cadera<\/a>. \u201cI don&#8217;t think there&#8217;s more that the doctors and therapists could&#8217;ve done for me.&nbsp; Everybody was nice and told me what to expect.&nbsp; They have been encouraging, telling me to keep going and it was a good overall experience. You don\u2019t know what it is like, being in chronic pain, and then there\u2019s no pain.\u201d&nbsp; With his dedication and hard work, he is a role model for other patients undergoing physical therapy. \u201cIt makes me feel like Superman, because every time I go to physical therapy the other patients cheer me on and tell me I\u2019m doing great.&nbsp; I&#8217;ll tell everybody the same thing: you just have to do the work.&nbsp; I worked really hard to get to where I am right now, doing the&nbsp;hip exercises&nbsp;every day.\u201d With his determination, we know we\u2019ll see Murray at the pool soon!<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re excited to announce that September\u2019s Patient of the Month is Murray Hudson.
