The <a href=\"https:\/\/genesisortho.com\/es\/rotator-cuff-repair-2\/\">rotator cuff<\/a> is comprised of the muscles and tendons that connect the humerus to the scapula and hold the ball-shaped head of the humerus into the shoulder socket joint. Rotator cuff injuries are quite common as a result of the wide range of motion of the shoulder joint. The pain associated with rotator cuff injuries comes from the inflammation that occurs during a sprain or tear. Inflammation can cause swelling and irritation in the muscles and tendons causing a decreased range of motion. Rotator cuff injuries have three classifications:<\/p><p><strong>Esguinces de grado 1:<\/strong> las lesiones en el manguito rotador se producen cuando las fibras de los m\u00fasculos o tendones se tensan m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de su capacidad.<\/p><p><strong>Esguinces de grado 2:<\/strong> las lesiones en el manguito rotador ocurren cuando las fibras de los m\u00fasculos o tendones se tensan demasiado y se rompen de manera parcial<\/p><p><strong>Esguinces de grado 3:<\/strong> las lesiones en el manguito rotador ocurren cuando las fibras de los m\u00fasculos o tendones se desgarran completamente.<\/p><p><strong>Las lesiones del manguito rotador se pueden desarrollar por numerosas causas, entre ellas est\u00e1n:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Acciones repetitivas: Deportistas como lanzadores de b\u00e9isbol, o con otras profesiones como los pintores pueden desarrollar desgarros cr\u00f3nicos por trabajar de manera excesiva el manguito rotador.<\/li><li>Actividades por encima de la cabeza: Actividades como trepar \u00e1rboles o alcanzar art\u00edculos en un estante alto, pueden causar tensi\u00f3n o desgarros.<\/li><li>Lesiones agudas: Lesiones traum\u00e1ticas por accidentes automovil\u00edsticos, accidentes con levantamiento de pesas o una ca\u00edda repentina.<\/li><li>Tendinitis: La inflamaci\u00f3n cr\u00f3nica de este tend\u00f3n puede provocar el debilitamiento y deterioro del manguito rotador.<\/li><\/ul><p>Las lesiones leves del manguito rotador sanar\u00e1n solas con reposo y cuidados personales. En ciertas lesiones que se basan \u00fanicamente en la inflamaci\u00f3n, como es el caso de la tendinitis, estas inyecciones de cortisona pueden actuar como una cura, pero en aquellas lesiones donde vamos a observar tambi\u00e9n el desgarro de los ligamentos, las inyecciones de cortisona ser\u00e1n utilizadas con la finalidad de reducir la inflamaci\u00f3n a largo plazo. Para el esguince de la articulaci\u00f3n AC, se va a inyectar cortisona en la articulaci\u00f3n para reducir el dolor y la inflamaci\u00f3n. Si se aplica m\u00e1s de una inyecci\u00f3n de cortisona y esto no alivia la inflamaci\u00f3n y el dolor, puede ser necesaria una intervenci\u00f3n quir\u00fargica.<\/p>\n<p><b>Terapia F\u00edsica<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Consulte con nuestro equipo en Genesis Orthopaedics &amp; Sports Medicine para obtener un plan de fisioterapia recomendado por nosotros. La terapia se realizar\u00e1 con la finalidad de disminuir el dolor asociado con el esguince de la articulaci\u00f3n AC, para as\u00ed poder restaurar el rango de movimiento del hombro y ayudarlo a recuperar gradualmente la fuerza.<\/p>\n<p><b>Cirug\u00eda<\/b><\/p>\n<p>La escisi\u00f3n distal de la clav\u00edcula es un procedimiento quir\u00fargico que se asocia a complicaciones de bursitis y espolones \u00f3seos, s\u00edndrome de compresi\u00f3n o pinzamiento, o lesi\u00f3n de la articulaci\u00f3n AC. En el caso de una lesi\u00f3n en la articulaci\u00f3n AC, se va a extraer parte del hueso del extremo de la clav\u00edcula para crear espacio, mientras se mantiene la integridad de los ligamentos que la rodean. Por lo tanto, una vez sanado, el hombro debe recuperar su fuerza y completo rango de movimiento.
