width=\"300\" height=\"213\" \/><\/p><p>La articulaci\u00f3n del codo es la convergencia de huesos, ligamentos y m\u00fasculos que permiten la flexi\u00f3n, extensi\u00f3n, pronaci\u00f3n y supinaci\u00f3n del brazo.  Dentro de la c\u00e1psula de la uni\u00f3n acodada \u00fanica, hay tres interfaces distintas, que a menudo se consideran articulaciones individuales, lo que permite estos diferentes tipos de movimiento.  La funci\u00f3n principal del codo es permitir la colocaci\u00f3n de la mano con la extensi\u00f3n y rotaci\u00f3n del brazo. Comprender la anatom\u00eda del codo ayudar\u00e1 a los pacientes a determinar la fuente de su dolor.<\/p><p><strong>Los siguientes componentes son partes integrales del codo en funcionamiento:<\/strong><\/p><h3>C\u00e1psula de Articulaci\u00f3n<\/h3><p>El confinamiento de los componentes de la articulaci\u00f3n del codo, la c\u00e1psula articular o membrana sinovial, proporciona estabilidad al codo.  Es engrosado en su lado por ligamentos y es reforzado por fibras musculares en la superficie delantera.<\/p><h3>Huesos<\/h3><p>Hay tres huesos que se entrecruzan en el codo:<\/p><ul><li><strong>H\u00famero:<\/strong>: El h\u00famero es el hueso grande de la parte superior del brazo que se extiende desde la cavidad de la esc\u00e1pula, u om\u00f3plato, hasta la articulaci\u00f3n del codo, donde se conecta con el c\u00fabito y el radio. Donde el h\u00famero se encuentra con el c\u00fabito y el radio en el codo, tiene dos superficies articulares, llamadas capitulo y tr\u00f3clea.<a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/genesisortho.com\/es\/patient-education\/elbow-overview\/#_ftn4\"><br \/><\/a><\/li><li><strong>Ulna:<\/strong>Como el m\u00e1s largo de los dos huesos del antebrazo, el c\u00fabito es el hueso interno cuando la palma est\u00e1 mirando hacia adelante.<\/li><li><strong>Radio:<\/strong>Paralelo al ulna, el radio tambi\u00e9n se conecta con el h\u00famero en el codo.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Articulaciones<\/h3><p>La articulaci\u00f3n del codo se puede dividir en tres articulaciones:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Articulaci\u00f3n humeroulnar:<\/strong>La articulaci\u00f3n primaria del codo, la articulaci\u00f3n humeroulnar, es una articulaci\u00f3n articulada sinovial que permite movimientos de flexi\u00f3n y extensi\u00f3n. Se encuentra entre la trochlea del h\u00famero y la muesca trochlear del ulna.<a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/genesisortho.com\/es\/patient-education\/elbow-overview\/#_ftn8\"><br \/><\/a><\/li><li><strong>Articulaci\u00f3n Radiohumeral:<\/strong>Como bisagra secundaria del codo, la articulaci\u00f3n radiohumeral ayuda en los mismos movimientos de flexi\u00f3n y extensi\u00f3n facilitados por la articulaci\u00f3n humeroulnar. Se extiende desde la cabeza del radio hasta el capitulum del h\u00famero.<\/li><li><strong>Articulaci\u00f3n Radial Proximal<\/strong>: Una articulaci\u00f3n pivotante que permite el movimiento rotacional, tambi\u00e9n conocida como pronaci\u00f3n y supinaci\u00f3n, la articulaci\u00f3n radial proximal se extiende desde la cabeza del radio hasta la muesca radial del c\u00fabito.<\/li><\/ul><h3>Ligamentos<\/h3><p>Los tres ligamentos primarios que sostienen el codo son:<\/p><ul><li><strong>Ligamento Anular (AL)<\/strong>: Alrededor de la cabeza del radio, el AL sirve para sostener el contacto entre el radio y los huesos del h\u00famero.<\/li><li><strong>Ligamento Colateral Medial (MCL)<\/strong>: Dos bandas componen el MCL en el codo; una anterior y otra posterior, ambas se inician en el epic\u00f3ndilo medial y se unen al ulna.<\/li><li><strong>Ligamento Colateral Lateral (LCL)<\/strong>: El LCL del codo es una banda corta que se extiende desde el epic\u00f3ndilo lateral hasta el ligamento anular.<\/li><\/ul><h3>M\u00fasculos<\/h3><p>La funci\u00f3n principal de los m\u00fasculos que rodean el codo es el empoderamiento de los movimientos de flexi\u00f3n, extensi\u00f3n, supinaci\u00f3n y pronaci\u00f3n del codo.<\/p><h4>M\u00fasculos de flexi\u00f3n:<\/h4><ul><li>B\u00edceps braquii<\/li><li>Braquial<\/li><li>Brachioradialis<\/li><\/ul><h4>M\u00fasculos de extensi\u00f3n:<\/h4><ul><li>Tr\u00edceps brachii (cabeza larga, lateral y medial)<\/li><li>Extensor Carpi Radialis Brevis<\/li><\/ul><h4>M\u00fasculos de pronaci\u00f3n y supinaci\u00f3n:<\/h4><ul><li>Teres Pronadores<\/li><li>Cuadrante Pronador<\/li><li>Brachioradialis<\/li><li>Supinador<\/li><li>B\u00edceps
